The artist in me
Welcome to my world. Here, you'll discover the passion and purpose that drive my artistic journey, how art has shaped my life, and the stories embedded within each creation. Join me as I share a glimpse into the soul of my work.

My journey into art: a therapeutic escape
My passion for art was sparked by a profound need for mental well-being. Drawing became my sanctuary, a place where I could completely zone out and find solace from PTSD, clinical depression and anxiety. This therapeutic aspect of art is something I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone navigating mental health issues. It’s a powerful tool for healing and self-expression, and it has been instrumental in my life.

The heart of my creations: evoking emotion
The most rewarding part of creating my artwork is knowing that it can touch others in a meaningful way. I hope my art evokes feelings of connection, introspection, and even healing. Just as art has been a profound source of comfort and mental well-being for me, I aspire for my pieces to offer a similar experience to those who view them, helping them find a moment of peace or understanding.

Injured soul: a challenging yet rewarding project
One of my most significant early projects was a realistic portrait of the late Robin Williams, entitled 'Injured Soul'. This piece took around 30 hours to complete. During the process, I extensively researched Robin's life, allowing me to connect deeply with his personality and motivations. This immersive experience was incredibly beneficial for my mental health at the time, proving how art can be a powerful avenue for empathy and personal growth.

Life is defined by change
We all experience moments of joy and moments of challenge—the natural balance of highs and lows. As David Bowie once reflected, time changes us all, yet it is the one thing we cannot change.
This message is for anyone currently navigating mental health challenges.
Please remember: mental health is not a destination, but an ongoing process. It’s not about where you are going, but how you take each step along the way.
You are strong. You are valued. You are remarkable.
Please remember that xx
"Art is good for my mental health. When I draw I completely zone out and all the anxiety goes."
John Lazenby
What about you? Art for good mental health...
Creating art brings profound joy by offering a meditative, "flow" state that reduces stress, lowers cortisol, and boosts dopamine. It allows for authentic self-expression, emotional release, and personal growth without needing external validation. Engaging in creative processes transforms, heals, and empowers individuals, regardless of skill level.
Good luck in your journey to a better place xx
